Hello Whōleness Friends!
Let’s get personal, shall we?
This video shares why I am hiring an administrative assistant to help me stop. stopping. myself. short. of completion… in order to enjoy living in Inspired Action and Calling!
- Note: you will catch glimpses of the coming content, but moreso, this speaks of personal readiness, fresh healing, and big-picture vision behind the desire to “serve to the last drop.”
Healing doesn’t come easily in isolation. We desire for this collective of wholeness-loving mamas to walk in the “we” of wellness — to say earnestly, “What are we working on? How can we help? We’ll seek solutions. Together.”
Let me get more real than ever and allow you to see what it looked like for me when I finally allowed the billows of deepest sorrow to complete its passage in this season. This was a video message update I sent to close friends from the personal retreat which began three weeks of intense sickness, forcing attention to healing me — when sadness caught me:
And now, because of the full acceptance of the depth of my struggle [NOT easy for a 7w8 to admit!], while giving the honest permission to fall facedown – I have since risen up off the floor with a light that grows brighter each day, and with headspace that is clear, like a breath of fresh air.
POINT: We are not alone in our need
- The Father of Lights – Maker and Love – overwhelms us with comfort as we lay out our desperation.
- Friends will sit and listen; and often that’s enough. Solutions can wait, and we can spring into action together once the face-plant is complete. But the friends just listening on the other side of this video message did more for me that day than they could ever know or imagine.
- And “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin [fears, distractions, useless things] that so easily entangle us; and let us RUN with perseverance [endurance] the race marked out for us [divinely called out from our lives], fixing our eyes on Jesus – the Author and Perfecter [THE FINISHER!] of our faith. For the joy that was set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” ~Hebrews 12:1-2
Spend time soaking in that scripture verse. Little did the woman at the spa know, but at the Good Grief music release concert, that was the verse I spoke over our lives and friends. I had us all repeat – with hand motions for the kids, of course – “Since I am Surrounded… [holding up an “S” in a Superman pose]… I RISE! [raising both hands open to the skies]… Since I am Surrounded… I RISE!… Since I am Surrounded… I RISE!”
I hope this shows where we’re headed!
Things are about to take off. And as we advocate the “WE” of wellness and walk in step toward living whōle, we have THE FINISHER with us in every waking and sleeping, crying and laughing, productive and paused-with-contemplation moment!
We can do this; so let’s gō!
Blessings as we step into brighter days, my friends!
From this Whōleness Mama to you… “WE” have much to face together on this great and glorious adventure!
